Mine Burckin x Gentag
As an artist based in Copenhagen, my creative journey has always been rooted in a deep appreciation for both art and sustainability. In collaboration with Gentag, a brand dedicated to reducing waste in the fashion industry, I had the opportunity to give a new life into vintage shirts using eco-conscious practices.

Gentag’s commitment to upcycling deadstock and surplus materials aligned with my vision of merging art with sustainability. For this project, I hand-painted two unique designs on vintage shirts, each with a symbolic connection to nature and the city I now live in. The first features an apple and apple tree, representing the beauty and abundance of autumn, while the second celebrates Copenhagen through an elegant swan motif.

This collaboration not only gives new meaning to discarded textiles but also highlights the importance of mindful creation in the fashion world. Every piece tells a story of both artistic expression and environmental responsibility, offering an opportunity to wear art while supporting a sustainable future.
